Ammit- Egyptian god with the head of a crocodile— played an important role during the funerary ritual the Judgment of the Dead. "devourer of the dead.” 
A central, feared figure in the mythology of the afterlife and served specific roles in the Egyptian underworld.

Anubis- Egyptian god of the dead, and the afterlife, depicted as a jackal-headed appearance. He served as the guardian of tombs, embalmer of souls, and judge of the dead. Anubis is credited with inventing the mummification process to preserve the body of Osiris. Priests would often wear jackal masks while performing funerary rites to impersonate the god.

IN THE MEANTIME, ALL THE ARTISTS I KNOW LOVE IT. BRUTALIST, DARK AND AUSTERE, GEFFEN LOOMS OVER WILSHIRE BOULEVARD THE SAME WAY HE DOES OVER HOLLYWOOD.

In celebration of Juneteenth National Independence Day is a federal holiday in the United States.
It is celebrated annually on June 19 to commemorate the end of slavery in the United States. The holiday's name first used in the 1890s is a portmanteau of June and nineteenth referring to June 19 1865 the day when Major General Gordon Granger ordered the final enforcement of the Emancipation Proclamation in Texas at the end of the American Civil War.
